Welcome to Lions Gate
Lions Gate is located in the heart of the Druid Hills neighborhood at the intersection of Ponce de Leon Avenue and Lullwater Road. Druid Hills was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr., America's premier landscape architect. Mr. Olmsted also designed Piedmont Park in Atlanta as well as Central Park in New York City, the grounds of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., and the grounds of the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Druid Hills today still reflects his cardinal principle of design - the preservation of natural landscape within the city. Lions Gate is located within a mile of shops in Emory Village and Ponce/Highland and is convenient to both the Virginia Highland shopping area and downtown Decatur.
Lions Gate condominiums consists of 84 units built in three phases, the first beginning in 1972. It features fully maintained landscaping, beautiful courtyards and common areas, and a pool that is surrounded by trees and other plantings. Additional services include twice weekly trash pickup as well as weekly recycling and yard waste pickup.
The property is located in DeKalb County and in the City of Atlanta, so Lions Gate residents receive services from both the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County.
Lions Gate Condominium Association, Inc., is self-governed pursuant to the Declaration of Condominium and the By-Laws. The Declaration of Condominium contains the plan of development and ownership, the method of operation, and the rights and responsibilities of the ownership and the Association. The By-Laws set out the procedures for the internal government of the Association.
The Association is administered by a Board of Directors elected by majority vote of the membership at the annual meeting held in April or May of each year.
